1. Who is responsible for your data
NextPayment acts as the data controller for the personal information you share with us when you visit our website, open an account, or use any of our services. Our full company details are published on our Regulatory information page.
2. What we collect
We collect information that falls into four broad categories, and only what we reasonably need:
- Identity data — name, date of birth, ID documents, photos, and nationality.
- Contact data — email address, phone number, and postal address.
- Financial data — balances, transactions, card details, and accounting links you connect.
- Technical data — device type, IP address, browser, and app diagnostics.
3. How we use your data
We use your data to set up your account, complete identity and anti-fraud checks, process payments, keep you logged in, deliver customer support, comply with legal obligations, and — where you have consented — to send product updates and personalized offers.
5. How long we keep it
We hold your data for as long as you are a customer and for a period afterwards that varies by data type and legal obligation — typically five to ten years for transaction records in line with anti-money-laundering rules.
6. Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to certain uses, and withdraw consent at any time. Requests are free and we respond within one month. Contact privacy@nextpayment.com to exercise a right.
7. International transfers
Some of our partners are based outside your country. When we move data internationally we use safeguards approved by regulators, such as Standard Contractual Clauses, and only transfer to countries with an adequate level of protection.
